Blocking the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone
by inhibiting the action of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme is a common aim of hair loss products. But
other medicines like 'finasteride' or Propecia® (brand name) have
been criticised heavily by many users because of the high incidence
of side-effects such as problems with libido, maintenance of erections,
acne, weight-gain, increased hairiness on the rest of the body,
and others.

- How should I take Nanocaps?
- One tablet, twice a day, with or without
food.
- How long until I see results?
- Since normal hair usually grows 1-3cms
per month, treatment with Nanocaps takes time. Continued
use for at least 3 months is usually needed before you notice
any change.
- Are there any side affects?
- The active ingredients in Nanocaps are
derived from naturally occurring substances, with no evidence
of side effects or interactions with any other medication
that you are taking. If you have any doubts then consult
your doctor. Some individuals complained of an upset stomach
shortly after taking Nanocaps, however taking each tablet
during or after a meal will alleviate this problem.
- What are the crucial differences
between Procerin and Nanocaps?
- The active ingredients in the two products
share some similarities, however the ingredients chosen
for inclusion in Nanocaps have been backed by clinical trials
or extensive studies. Nanocaps also contain active ingredients
that are applicable to both men and women.
- Do Nanocaps contain finasteride?
- No Nanocaps only contain neutraceutically
derived ingredients.
- What are the crucial differences
between Propecia and Nanocaps?
- Nanocaps can be used safely in conjunction
with other hair loss medications, and unlike the active
ingredient present in Propecia (finasteride), Nanocaps do
not cause dramatic side-effects - such as loss of libido,
erectile dysfunction and ejaculation disorders. Finasteride
also poses a severe risk to the unborn fetus of women during
pregnancy.
- Is it safe for pregnant women?
- No - Since Nanocaps are to be taken orally,
any effects may be systemic unlike Nanoguard which is used
topically for strong local effects.
As a responsible laboratory, it is
the policy of Nanogen to refer all questions of safety during
pregnancy and lactation to your general practitioner/medical
physician taking the product label with you.
Please take
care not to confuse the claims of natural by some manufacturers
to mean safe. A product regardless of its derivation can
have a damaging effect just as it can have a positive effect.
Consequently, we do not recommend the use of Nanocaps by
women planning to get pregnant in the next 12 months, pregnant
women and women lactating just to err on the side of caution.
Women outside of these categories may use Nanocaps perfectly
safely. Mainly women suffer from hair loss in their middle
years, during the menopause and in their retirement years
and Nanocaps can be used safely at all these times.

- Do I need a doctor's prescription
to buy Nanocaps?
- Nanocaps are available to purchase directly
and without prescription.
- Will it affect my sex drive/hormones?
(increase testosterone in body)?
- There is no evidence to suggest that the
ingredients in Nanocaps will affect the 'sex drive'.
- Is gender a factor in the use
of Nanocaps?
- Unlike some other oral treatments available
on the market, Nanocaps are completely safe for use by men
and women with pattern hair loss and will work effectively
in both cases. Although levels of DHT are not a high in
the female body as in the male body, other ingredients such
as Vitamin B6 are aimed at ensuring that Nanocaps are suitable
for both men and women.
- Can I use Nanocaps along with
other Nanogen products?
- Nanocaps can be used effectively along
side other Nanogen products as part of the Nanogen Four
Step Protocol to healthy hair. For maximum efficacy, use
Nanocaps alongside other DHT inhibitors such as Nanoguard
to treat the problem orally as well as topically.
- For how long should I continue
taking Nanocaps?
- As with any hair loss treatment, continued
use is required in order to gain maximum benefits and maintain
results. Stopping a treatment will just allow the problem to
build up again.
- What should I do if I miss a
dose?
- If you miss a dose, do not take an extra
one. Just take the next tablet as usual.
- Do Nanocaps affect the hair
on the other parts of your body?
- Nanocaps will not affect hair on other
parts of the body.
- What is the benefit of taking
the product in a pill form as opposed to a topical application?
- Certain individuals may respond to the
treatments differently, and therefore may find that an oral
product works for best for them. For maximum
results when undergoing treatments, we recommend
that Nanocaps and Nanoguard are used in conjunction due
to the double action that the active ingredients have.
- Why do Nanocaps have such a strong
smell?
- The active ingredients in Nanocaps have
been chosen for their efficacy, and the strong odor associated
with Nanocaps is attributed to the freshness and purity
of the ingredients used. The tablets themselves are flavorless
and will not affect your breath.
- Can I use Nanoguard at the same
time?
- Yes, Nanocaps can be used in conjunction
with any of our products. In order to benefit the most from
our treatments, and really target your hair loss
we recommend that you use Nanocaps in conjunction with Nanoguard.
